remove the toal amount of comments

I WordPress, one gets a notification of the toal amount of comments .
Is it somehow possible to disable this notification? I am not familiair with any css that would do this and i dont see an option in the theme or WordPress itselve.I am talking about the class=wpdtc

I thought it wqould be something like this:
.wpdtc{
display:none;
}

So, to make it clear, i dont want to disable commenting, i just want to remove the total amount of comments at the site.
